Loss of my stolen vehicle after recovery

I am Dinesh Kumar. My Motorcycle was stolen on 12/03/2011 in Faridabad. So relevant FIR was lodged in concerned Police Station. The insurance Company deputed a surveyor to investigate & assess the loss. Before untrace (Final) report,I received a call from Police station that vehicle has been recovered. When I contacted the surveyor,I came to know from surveyor that Police recovery memo, mentioning the loss in vehicle   is must from police. But police neither make police recovery memo, nor allows surveyor to take photographs inside the police station premises.
Please suggest me what should I do ?

Any it is the police dept will handover the vehicle to you through the court

At the time of submission of charge sheet to the court they have to mention the recovered property details ( even in that also they haven't mentioned)ask you advacate to furnish the details while taking delivery through court or from police station.

Even if you are pained with this the simple one
Approach the Insurers( Surveyor as they deputed ) before taking deliver / at the time of handing over of your motor cycle. The Surveyor / Insurer Will inspect the property and they note down the missing and as well as the damage.
They will assess your loss accordingly.

It's my opinion with the past experience

If we see the insurers claim procedural manual, it entitles insured to refuse top take the vehicle after recovery and he can claim for the IDV. Though in practice the same is not followed and Insurance company take undue advantage of Police formalities and harrassment.
